Aduro Clean Technologies Inc. has been invited to the PepsiCo Sustainability Innovation Hub, one of ten companies asked to present at the event scheduled for Sep 23, 2026 at Hábitat CDMX in Mexico City.

At the hub, Eric Appelman, Aduro's Chief Revenue Officer, will present on Hydrochemolytic™ Technology as a chemical recycling route for polyolefin-rich flexible films and multilayer plastic packaging. The technology works by transforming polyethylene and polypropylene into hydrocarbon intermediates that can be reintroduced into the plastics value chain.

Who Is Affected
The company describes itself as developing patented water-based technologies that chemically recycle plastic waste, convert heavy crude oil and bitumen into lighter, higher-value oil, and transform renewable oils into higher-value renewable fuels or chemicals.
Aduro already collaborates with ECOCE, a packaging collection and recycling association in Mexico of which PepsiCo is a member, on an HCT program that is currently at the laboratory-scale trial stage, with possible pilot plant trials to follow.

What To Watch Next
Aduro runs a pilot plant for its New Generation Process located in Canada, and a first-of-a-kind plant at Chemelot in the Netherlands.
Any further collaboration between Aduro and PepsiCo remains subject to a separate evaluation, decision process, and agreement.
